What happens when the connection is having problems?

Hello,

I have a question - what happens to the videoconference if the internet connection suddenly is getting worse for unknown reasons?
How behaves the mechanism which will try to fix it? Is the quality of video or sound decreasing or maybe after a while the conference is forced to disconnect all participants?

@Krzysztof - I believe you are referring to our "adaptive bitrate".

Blue Jeans is constantly optimizing the platform for a. the lowest bandwidth situations and b. the fluctuating bandwidth situations. On the fly we will notice the change in available bandwidth (up/down) and reduce the resolution of the video in order to hold onto the connection. In severe situations, the video can be dropped all together, but hold onto the audio connection so the user is not dropped from the call. We are keeping the end user in mind with all of these so that they don't need to have to know their connection. They expect the service to work and we are working towards ALL environments. 

Does that help or do you need actual kb/s for some of these thresholds?

I would love to know the cut-off for the different resolutions! Have had too many questions of users why they are *only* getting 640 x 380 or whatever on their Internet connection....

Just to add to this,  I've found when moderating a BlueJeans meeting, that if my connection drops (usually due to 3G problems) that the meeting will continue to run for around 5 minutes, giving me time to rejoin.  However,  if I think I'm going to have an unreliable connection, I use the 'moderatorless' meeting which allows the session to continue without me.
