Volume Levelling

When running VC sessions between people in a number of different locations and using differing equipment, it is sometimes difficult to maintain consistent volume levels between participants.
e.g. Someone with a headset on a laptop is often much louder than someone using a room system, relying on remote mics.

Is there a way to ensure that the volume between meeting participants is levelled, either manually, or automatically, so that you're not having to constantly adjust manually?
This could be set by participant, or globally for a call by the moderator.

This is a question at the moment, but may be an 'Idea'

While listening to anything your volume level should be such that you are able to hear some ambient noise also. There are tools and plugins that analyse sound file and create keyframes or animation curves that you can connect to the properties of effects. Check more info @ cheap essay writing service

That's not what I'm asking.  This is about the difference in volume between participants in a meeting.  It can be as simple as because one person is sat closer to a mic than someone else.

In these instances I'd like either:

  • The system to 'level' the volume between participants
  • To be able to control the level from other sources (as moderator)

To ensure that the conversation is clear for all participants.

I too have noticed this and it would be nice BlueJeans provided more volume leveling on their end to keep sound at a consistent level. Even when I set our Polycom's to transmit sound at a higher gain/volume, it does not seem to make a difference when it goes through BlueJeans.
