Unable to update (or uninstall) the windows BlueJeans app

The automatic update doesn't seem to work anymore. I get the "out of date" message, the download works, but the installation never finishes.

I tried to manually download the latest executable, but when trying to install, it complains about the current installation that needs to be removed.

Trying to uninstall the current version complains about a missing file (AppData\Local\Blue Jeans\desktop\update\BlueJeans.1.5.157u.msi).

How can I proceed?

Hi Pieter,

Could you try following the instructions given in the below knowledge base article link.

If the issue still persists, I request you to write an email to support@bluejeans.com.
Thanks, this helped to fix the issue.

I used the MS tool to uninstall all the bluejeans app and tried to install again using the previously downloaded installer.

Start bluejeans, it was still the old version (which the MS tool apparently didn't fully uninstall), which asked to update itself. Click to update, download works, installation seemed to work, but on relaunch the app was still on the same version as before and asked again to update. I tried this "update now" about 5 times.

Then, I went to the normal windows add/remove programs list, where I could uninstall BlueJeans in the normal way, which was successful now. I removed all the other BlueJeans related things too (Outlook addin, browser plugins) and restart (probably should have restarted first time). Try again to install using the previously downloaded installer. Now everything is OK.

Thanks!
