I set myself to mute by default and then use the spacebar to unmute when I need to speak up. I think it's a great feature and I think it should be featured more prominently to encourage people to feel free to mute without forcing themselves to miss out.
However, there's a delay of 1 or 2 seconds from pressing the spacebar to being audible. It doesn't allow for the realtime back and forth that I think the feature was designed for. Tightening up performance here and better highlighting the feature would really improve the experience.

Why spacebar? Why not a more obscure key so we don't do it accidentally!!! AND we need a way to TURN IT OFF

If you click out of the meeting UI, either the app or the browser, this will make it to where the spacebar function will not work.
