Since you can mute people (audio) on entry, I'd like to also mute people (video) on entry.

I have users that run seminar - type meetings (one-way consumption) and they would like to be able to mute user audio and video on entry -- and preferably force mute the users for the duration of the meeting. I have advised that this kind of one-to-many meetings might have other solutions (Wowza streaming, etc) but they use BlueJeans for all their other meetings and want to keep the solution uniform.

Any chance this is in the pipeline, or some kind of solution like this?

Hi Blake,

Thank you for writing into Blue Jeans Community. Make yourself join as moderator. Moderator has control to mute audio/video of participants.  Also, you can direct your users to uncheck Audio and video before clicking enter the meeting.  they will join as muted participants ie will only be able to receive video and Audio.

I understand that. But for a large meeting that might not have an active moderator, I would like to be able to force mute (and not let people change it) both audio and video so that they do not interrupt the speaker.

@Blake - For these larger meetings we will have a different join flow and enhanced moderator controls. For now, please follow this thread and we will update there when we are able to divulge more information.

Any update on the following request? I had a large meeting and I had to manually disable cameras for people entering the meeting, which was somewhat disruptive....

We currently do not have an update on this thread. Our in-meeting options currently only mute the participants audio but not video.
