Problem with VC using a ultra-high resolution monitor and scaled fonts

We are running some tests using Chrome on a ultra-high resolution monitor. It looks great, except that when we scale the system font size (otherwise the text isn't legible) higher than 100%, we get all kinds of black "blocks" in our video screen (see the screenshots below). When we scale the font size back to 100%, the problem goes away, but then we cannot read the regular text...

Any ideas?

Seems this maybe a known Windows issue with ultra high resolution displays when using certain applications. Windows does not always scale perfectly. Most of the Windows UI scales just fine, but some bits don't scale at all, appearing at 100% even if the rest of the UI is at 200%. Chrome is particular bad at this. You are probably better off using Firefox than Chrome, at least until they get their high-DPI support in order.

With Windows scaling set to 200%. you should notice how much cleaner and smoother the text is in Firefox over Chrome. This issue with scaling Windows on ultra high resolution display may have more to do with the application development.

Try Firefox and compare. Hope this helps.
