Phone option to autoconnect

When selecting join meeting from a mobile device - the option to join by phone is present, however all this does is dial the bridge.

Could we have it so that it goes straight into the meeting, since the use case for this option is generally when people are on the road or are having an internet related issue that requires quick access to the meeting.

I,e click join meeting on iphone or android it would dial : Regional dial in number , Conference bridge , participant code ( if required )

Maybe identify the regional dial in using location services on the phone or something as to identify the lowest cost route per region i.e. in the uk dial the +44.....

Hi Ash,

I advice you to get in touch with Intercall Europe who has developed an integration with its audio conferencing service. You will then be able to use the MobileMeet software to connect in audio without having to enter the Regional dial in number , Conference bridge, etc ... This software is available for iOS and Android devices. This is an ideal solution for users in mobility.

For more information, please review

I hope this helps.

thanks Thierry, however the purpose of me pushing Blue Jeans to our enterprise is to do a one size fits most - scenario.

If a user has the invite to a Blue Jeans meeting, the Blue Jeans app reminds me of the meeting, so i choose to join meeting and it goes in through the data plan ( doesnt help in scenarios where there is no data )

If the reminder comes from mail client, i can select "join meeting" and it gives the option to join over the app or over the phone. If i select join over the phone it dials the access number and then the associate has to remember all the details etc.

If the Blue Jeans app could utilise the Ios / Android dialler it would mean i dont need to tell my associates to deploy more apps to the phone.

Interesting idea to have BJN construct a phone string based on the users location.  I see two work-arounds for now.

1.  Manually construct the phone string for common countries and put it in the invite.  I can't test for Android phones, but on an iPhone you can paste a link in the following format:

This has to be entered as a link, and I needed to add a couple of commas to give time for the remote side to answer before submitting the meeting id.

The link for a call to England would look like:

This knowlegebase article says BJN will auto-create the URL for iOS and MacOS, but I think that's just US numbers. With the above method you can use international numbers.

2.  Have people join the regular BlueJeans meeting, but mute the video to preserve bandwidth.
