When we released the Android app in November of 2013, one of the first feature requests was to ask for document sharing. We really wanted to bring this feature to market, but it was always difficult. You see, Android did not have a document rendering capability built in like iOS. We either had to build it or buy/lease it. We researched and talked to vendors, but it never really got to a gel state.
Enter Android L (or Lollipop):
With Android L we now had a foundation to where we could do something really #AWESOME. We decided not to “document share” but to share the entire screen! Now you can open apps inside of the Meet Me and share documents with Google Drive or Box, show a website on Chrome, Go through your snaps in Google Photos!
What’s new:
Full screen sharing in a Blue Jeans meeting for Android L (Lollipop) and later
Media Improvements
As always, we try to make the in-meeting experiences better and better.
