Making meetnig info/invitations mobile device friendly

I am not a smartphone or table user, but many of my colleagues are.  They complain that the Outlook meeting invitations are not friendly to iOS users (not sure how they look on Android), and the meeting info copy-and-pasted from the Blue Jeans scheduling page isn't much better.

The biggest complaint is that they'd like the phone number to be formatted so that it can is recognized by the mail application, allowing them to join a telecon with one click.  This includes the meeting ID and the two pounds that have to be entered.

Is that even possible for the phone conference portion? I would suspect that's more hindered by phone carrier technology than Blue Jeans. There is likely a timing issue as well of when the meeting ID can be entered for their system to recognize it. I know you can add commas to phone numbers in your contacts to add a pause before dialing the rest of the numbers for the extension's tones to be recognized.

I agree that it would be fantastic to do. I HATE having to deal with extensions for contacts on my cell phone. It's great being able to dial directly in with URI's for videoconferencing systems and skipping the lobby. There was a thread asking for that to be included in meeting notices as well.

I'm interested to hear what BJN has to say on this one.

When he does this for other meetings, my colleague puts a series of 3-4 commas after the main number (for pauses), then the meeting id, then "##" or "#,#" with a pause between.    Such a dialing string makes some assumptions about the timing (especially the time to make the initial connection) that it probably not absolutely guaranteed to _always_ work, but his experience is that it does a very high percentage of the time.
We're looking into how to fix this one. One option is to use the mobile app to join the meeting instead of dialing in on the mobile. Good feedback.

Yes, true. But not all people have the mobile app installed. Think customers, vendors, etc. Who may have never heard of bluejeans etc. As part of our MDM roll out we will have Bluejeans installed on all of our devices, so our users will be covered, but we can't take over the world.

But also the topic of this thread is a good point, make the HTML auto format so it looks good in Outlook, and iPhone and Droids automatically, and iPads. Add some color. I would like the ability to brand the invites as well.
