i have a sc20 that does not connect it tries to and then i get a flahsed Red handset in the middle of the screen and it disconnects.

Hello Charles,

It could be an issue if the Cisco device is connecting behind a gatekeeper or call manager. What you will want to make sure is that nothing is preventing the call from being established on the Firewall or call manager. You can review our KB's for configuring your room system here:
If you are still running into the issue after confirming these configurations are in place, we will need to open a support ticket and troubleshoot further.

We used all range of SX - SX10, SX20 and SX80 without gatekeeper or call manager.  Of coz they are behind the firewall with basic firewall setup requirement.  They all work smoothly.
