@TAMIU eLearning we will let other customers chime in here on their experience with the recording feature. 


@Olivier - Thank you for your interest in recording. You are able to record meetings now with Blue Jeans. There are two levels, free and premium feature bundle. If you do not see the feature enabled, let us know and we will open a support case. 

Enabling Recording:

  1. Enable Recording for your enterprise.
  •     Under the Admin Console>Group Settings>Group Info>Meeting Preferences
  •     Make sure "Enable Meeting Recording for my group" is check marked.
  • Enable for each Individual User that you wish to have recording.
    •     Under the Admin Console>Manage Users>View/Edit Users> [Selected User]
    •     Make sure "Enable meeting recording" is check marked beside the user Portrait.
    Enabling optional Auto recording and Auto Delete:



    • Once recording is enabled for the enterprise group, the moderators have the ability in the "Scheduled Meetings/Advanced Meeting Settings" to check on the setting to "Enable Auto Recording". When this setting is enabled, recording will start when the host joins the call. 
    • Admins have an option to set auto delete period for recordings in his enterprise. After that period recordings will be deleted for all accounts in the enterprise. 
    Once enabled and configured,please refer to the document Blue Jeans Recording and Playback to record, playback and share your recordings.

    I ran into something while testing the recording function in BlueJeans, and was hoping that this might be something that others have run across. I successfully recorded two different meetings, and after tidying them up a bit (editing out everyone entering and leaving) I was able to save some recordings to show our Management.

     I just confirmed today that I could not hear any sound when I attempted to play these back using a headset – although I have no problems at all when I play them back on a laptop using the built in devices. I am wondering if this might be because I recorded through this same laptop, and perhaps the device selections in my BlueJeans settings would have been different had I used a headset while recording?
