BlueJeans for Google Calendar 2.0 has new features to reduce time to setup, time to join, and enable one-time meeting scheduling. These include:

  • BlueJeans Easy Buttons - We have added easy to schedule and easy to join buttons in different locations on your Google Calendar.

  • Direct Launch of the BlueJeans app - When users click on "Join BlueJeans Meeting", instead of launching the browser and then the app, we will now launch the app directly. This will reduce the join time by approximately 5 seconds!
  • Schedule One-Time Meetings - In addition to personal meeting IDs, we are adding the ability to schedule using unique meeting IDs
This new version of the Extension will be available starting May 20th for free in the Chrome Extension store here: BlueJeans Chrome Extension

Please give it a try and let us know what you think!

Hi there,

We are having an issue in our company with a few employees with the new extension. The problem is when we click the 'Add BlueJeans Meeting' button in Google Calendar, nothing happens.

We've tried, restarting the mac, trying a different browser (we use chrome as default), resetting the extension settings, removing the BlueJeans calendar extension and re-adding, Updating to the latest version of chrome and we are still having the same issue.

Is there anything else you can recommend, or is there a way to rollback to the previous version of the extension?

Hi Marc,

Thank you for reporting the issue. This is not an expected behavior with google extension. could you please check if affected users have any special extensions installed ex:  JSONView, Yesware? Can you test after disabling these extensions?
Kindly reproduce the issue and send us the fiddler logs at support@bluejeans.com.

Hi, this is really awesome news.

I wish there was an option to configure the way default invitation text looks like (url, phone numbers etc).  There is now an option to configure a greeting above the default text, but i'd like to be able to edit the full default invitation template.  Are you going to implement it?

Hello Dmitriy,

Unfortunately, we do not have a feature that will allow you to customize the invite information in the Google Calendar extension, you can obtain more info on our branding options here:

https://support.bluejeans.com/knowledge/customizing-account-and-invitations

One thing to note is that the field when you input BlueJeans meeting information in Google Calendar is editable, so you are able to change what you would like yourself.

We cannot schedule meetings at all. It now pops up a secondary box (below) which I click Invite via Google Calendar it opens a new invite with no info and never provides a meeting number, it just spins forever.

Hello Simon,

There is a current workaround to resolve this issue:

Go to extension settings, sign out of the extension, sign back into the extension.

I ran into this issue on my extension and can verify the workaround works.

Tried all suggestions above for version 2.3.2.4 extension and I still can't add the bluejeans button.  It get stuck at the "Adding bluejeans meeting" button forever and keeps prompting me to login.
