Future of Lync?

Now that Microsoft have announced that Lync will become Skype for business, where does that leave the connectivity with BlueJeans?

We we're quite disappointed when Skype was made unavailable (I know that Microsoft and API's rather than a BlueJeans issue)

But if Lync wasn't able to connect we could potentially have a issue here in Newcastle! I'm hoping that this might bring Skype back into play, but maybe that's wishful thinking.

Has anyone got any information yet?

Hi Ian,

Great Question !

I checked with our product team and we will be compatible with this version of Lync.  From what I am reading,  it looks to be Lync at its core with a Skype UI.

Please stay tuned for more information

Thanks Philip

Most of our participants use the web browser interface, but we have a few that will only use Lync. Does that mean that Skype (Domestic version) might be coming back into BlueJeans too?

Thanks for posting this question. Cross compatibility with other services is important to us as well.

Hi Ian,

Thank you for the follow up question.

There are no immediate plans to support the consumer (Domestic) version of Skype.
