Hello guys & gals!

Question for those working with large groups of less then tech-savvy users, I've been trying to look at ways to minimize user confusion and streamline the joining process.

In that regard, I was wondering if Blue Jeans had a permanent URL location that users can include in their email signatures or even keep bookmarked on their browser. The goal is for them to instantly jump into an impromptu meeting; while avoiding the need to schedule or through their calendar.

Hi there and welcome to the Community Scott! :)

All meetings, both Scheduled and Personal, will have a unique url that can be used to directly access the meeting from your preferred browser. For Personal Meetings and Reoccurring Scheduled Meetings these URLs will always stay the same. The example URL below is for our Test Meeting environment, Meeting ID 111, and using this link will jump you straight into the meeting lobby.

However, from the scenario you described, I think our Publish Meeting feature will also work very well for your users. This Advanced Meeting Option is available for both Personal Meetings & Scheduled Meetings and will list all published meetings on a personalized web URL that can be bookmarked, shared, and included in your email signatures. Here is an example of the interface your users will see when they go to access their Published Meetings.

As you can see, this page will look very similar to your Meetings page found on the dashboard in your account. From here your users can just click on the meeting they wish to attend and join. Combining the Publish Meeting & Moderator-less advanced options with your Personal Meetings will allow your users to have an incredibly easy and simple way to start impromptu meetings; while avoiding any scheduling or inviting through their calendar.

There is also your company's Blue Jeans page https://yourcompany.bluejeans.com, substituting "yourcompany" for whatever you set-up.

i only ever post a link to : bluejeans.com/username, i have found even the most non technical of users can cope with that ;) its the technical users i have a problem with, they cant believe its that simple and just over rotate on having a link and then having all these meeting options ;)
