Can we share documents through the browser the same way you can share documents from the mobile app?

I have had a some users request the ability to be able to share documents with participants during a call.  I know that you can share PDFs, photos, etc. on the mobile app, but I have not seen any kind of document sharing features when I join a meeting from the browser, only the ability to share videos.  Am I just overlooking something?  If not, I would love to see this feature enabled.

Grant, with the browser interface you have the ability to do full screen sharing so you don't need to necessarily specify documents or pictures like you do to access resources on a mobile device. With the screen sharing option you can share your entire screen or just a particular application.

If this is not what you are referring to, are you asking for the ability to also upload other files for people to download copies of during a meeting?

Thanks for the quick reply.

I am referring to the ability to upload files for others to download during meetings.

I think you're confusing how the sharing functionality works perhaps, or I am, entirely possible. =D

There is no option for the other participants in a meeting, mobile app or browser, to download the documents or pictures you've added to your mobile app to share. All it does is display the content for others to see when you're sharing it. This is just how the browser works, too, you only get to see what is shared, but the files aren't uploaded into a shared space for people to download a copy of.

I want to say there is already a feature request for that functionality though, I just can't find the thread. I would like to see this, too. I think the option right now is you use Outlook to schedule your meeting with the plug-in or just share the info in a meeting request and attach documents to be distributed through the meeting request.

I don't like this for a few reasons: 1) I've found that dealing with attachments as part of meeting requests behave inconsistently between mail clients and they can vanish. 2) Although in the end multiple people may download a copy, which wastes additional space, at least only the people who want it are doing so. You're not clogging up email boxes.

Am I even on the right track here, Grant?
