BlueJeans Scheduler for Mac is Creating Meetings with (null) text

When I use BlueJeans Scheduler for Mac to create a meeting, the Outlook calendar entry only shows (null) in the meeting details. There is no additional text like my meeting details are dial-in numbers. Just the word (null).

If i open the BlueJeans Scheduler for Mac menu and click the preferences icon, the Scheduler quits.

This does not happen for other users that login to their computer and BlueJeans accounts at this computer.

I have tried re-installing the software and removing any associate files in my home folder. None of this has reset the application to a first use state where I can re-enter my credentials.

Hi Francois,

Currently this is a known issue at our end. Our engineering team is trying to investigate the root cause. Kindly try installing below version of MAC schedular and check if its helping in resolving the issue

https://swdl.bluejeans.com/bluejeansformac/Blue+Jeans+Scheduler+for+Mac-1.0.204.dmg

Thank you,

Radhika Chatur
I just solved the problem. I first tried to sign out from the application and sign in again with my credentials. The problem remained: still (null) in the calendar invite body, no phone numbers and only the URL towards the BJ session. So I deleted the application (first quit the application) by putting it in the trash and emptying the trash. Then download the BlueJeans Scheduler for Mac and installed it again. It works now as before.

Hi Radhika,

Is there any news on the progress with identifying the root cause of the issue. I've had a support ticket open since January with no signs of progress and very little response from BlueJeans apart from to install 1.0.204 which we have tried on a couple of machines without issue and we have also done similar troubleshooting to what Francois has just done but without success.

Thanks.

Hi Rob,

Sorry for delay in response here. I was following up with our engineering team on this. Could you please try following steps to uninstall existing MAC schedular and download the latest version from website and share the results.

Step 1 - Remove Application Preferences:  Open "Terminal" (applications -> utilities) and type (or copy/paste) the following command: defaults delete com.bluejeans.bluejeansschedulerformac

Step 2 - Remove Application Logs:  Type (or copy/paste) the following command  rm -rf ~/Library/Logs/Blue\ Jeans\ Scheduler\ for\ Mac/

Step 3 - Remove Application: Move "Blue Jeans Scheduler for Mac" from you Applications folder to Trash.

Thank you,

Radhika Chatur

Hi Radhika,

I tried the steps you suggested but unfortunately I had the same issue. I then tried the same steps again but before re-installing the current version of the scheduler application I rebooted the Mac but the same issue occured.

In fact I've now completely erased my Mac and installed a fresh copy of macOS Sierra 10.12.4 and have manually transferred files but no settings or configurations back on to the machine.
I've re-installed the latest version of scheduler and get the same error when using Microsoft Outlook 2016.

If I change the scheduler app to use Apple Calendar. When I click on "Schedule Meeting" a little warning triangle comes up and the application does nothing.

Hopefully this information is helpful, even though my issue is still unresolved.

Hi Rob,

Thank you for the elaborate testing. Please send us the file located at
~/Library/Preferences/com.bluejeans.bluejeansschedulerformac.plist to support@bluejeans.com for further investigation.
