We are excited to announce the newest feature coming to BlueJeans onVideo, Remote Desktop Control! This has been a very highly requested feature, which will finally be available to try in April!

What is Remote Desktop Control?

Remote Desktop Control allows one user to control another user’s desktop via a BlueJeans onVideo meeting. RDC enables easy troubleshooting for support teams. It also allows remote presenters to drive content on a different machine.

You can learn more about how this feature works, as well as find some helpful screenshots, from the article on our new support site:
We can't wait for you all to try it for yourselves and tell us what you think!

Remote Desktop Control is now live. Was added to production this weekend (unless your group was asked to be excluded). Click here for the article on how it works.

Let us know if you have any questions or feedback.

Does this Remote Desktop Control allow you to enter admin credentials on a UAC prompt? The reason I ask is because we do not allow our users to have much control on their machines. Most of our users with laptops are setup with a remote support product but some users are not for licensing purposes. If those users without the support product have issues on their computer, we have to wait for them to come back to the office because most remote viewing products freeze or blank screen when an admin prompt appears.

Hello Trae,

The BlueJeans Remote Desktop Feature will not allow you to enter admin credentials in a UAC prompt. In our article it also states:
  • At this time, we do not support controlling of admin apps (such as Microsoft Registry Editor), because it requires admin access for the BlueJeans app
