Hi guys,

I would like to auto setup Blue Jeans Scheduler when it is installed. This mean, user doesnt need to choose which calendar to use and typing in the email address.

We have SSO for Blue Jeans and Outlook (office 365).

I have created 3 files
2 plist in LaunchAgents
1. To launch Blue Jeans Scheduler App when user log in
2. to call a bash script to modify ~/Library/Preferences/com.bluejeans.bluejeansschedulerformac.plist

1 bash script to write to the plist with the following settings:
  • grab email address
  • write user email in plist
  • idpURL for SSO
  • authentication type to SAML
  • set calendar to use outlook_calendar
  • SUEnableAutomaticChecks to false (what check?)
  • SUHasLaunchedBefore to True
i could see that the script has modified the user's plist file with the settings above. however, the pop up asking user to select the calendar and email still present.

thanks

Hello Edy,

I would like to assist you with this issue, but first I need some additional details. The BlueJeans scheduler tool that you are referring to is it one of the following:
  1. BlueJeans Outlook Add-in for Windows
  2. BlueJeans Scheduler for Mac
  3. Google Calendar Extension
Once we obtain some additional information, we will be able to better assist you!

Regards,
Lee

We would suggest that you look at our new Office 365 add-in that is on beta release! If you would like to read up on the new add-in, you can review this article:
And if you need a side by side comparison between O365 and the Outlook add-in, you can review this article:

Hi Lee,

Unfortunately, we are still using hybrid and due to the nature of the business we cant move everyone to Office365.

We are still wanting to use the Scheduler instead.

Thanks

Hello Edy,

After some investigating on my end, this is what I was able to come up with.

BlueJeans Scheduler for Mac cannot honor the setting from plist directly if the user hasn't logged into the app yet. Your users would need to login to the BlueJeans App for the plist settings to work.

I hope this helps in getting you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Regards,
Lee
