Are there any install switches for the v2.4x per user .exe installer?

We're looking to roll out the bluejeans per user client install (v2.4x) to our business, but notice there are no install switches mentioned. Is there a way to suppress the bluejeans client from its first launch after install?

Hello James,

The 2.x application should support the same command switches that we offered for the 1.x application. For the user-build exe, you will want to use this command switch:

/i “BlueJeansLauncher.exe” /q

Once we have the user MSI available, you would replace the .exe with the MSI. You can view more details here:

Hi Lee,

I'm guessing that the example command switch provided should have "msiexec" leading that string, however that doesn't work against an exe file. It also doesn't appear to address the suppression of first run after install.

Here's what I ended up doing. I can see that the per user msi is generated in the C:\windows\installer folder, so I lifted that MSI out and edited the MSI properties with Orca, changing the property "LAUNCHAFTERINSTALL" value from "1" to "0" and this effectively does everything I need it to do. The aforementioned string by Lee, affixed with "msiexe" affixed at the start, will then do the per user install and NOT launch immediately after.

Regards,
James

Hello James,

Sorry for getting back to you so late. We are working on implementing a Machine-build MSI for the 2.x application in the coming future. This build should work with the switches outlined in the article.
