Logitech makes a great cam. We've ordered several.

We use Shure microphones, but that normally is a separate system from the webcam and microphone. Usually we just have the webcam pickup the ambient audio amplified through room speakers picked up from the Shure.

All that being said, I prefer to use a video conferencing system when doing important stuff like that. Our nice conference rooms have CISCO C90's and they have XLR microphone inputs that can be hooked directly into a room system. If I had to do a Hotel presentation I'd bring an SX20 with me and hook the microphone directly into the VTC system (and hook the SX20 into the Hotel Ethernet avoiding wireless)

Maybe I should be more specific. The setting is a large hotel Ball room, 200 employees, Riser with screen, VP at front in front of power point screen with handheld or Lav mic,
Would like Camera on Tripod either fixed, or someone following him, so the rest of either the BJN audience or Primetime audience thinks it's more like a TV show than a meeting.

I appreciate the suggestions of some of the products. Some are new to me, and I've ordered a few to try out.

We have done this using the Vaddio AV bridge. http://www.vaddio.com/product/av-bridge

connected the camera/s and mic/s to the bridge and connecting the bridge to a laptop via usb to allow a primetime session to see the in room AV as a usb webcam and mic.
