Advanced Webcam Adjustment Options

One of my customers is asking to have access to the same advanced webcam options that you can access within Skype's video options. Not all models have settings available, but the Microsoft LifeCam Studio unit allows for pan and zooming etc, but many built-in cameras also have other image adjustments like gamma, etc. In certain situations having this ability to access these camera settings in Blue Jeans to adjust them would be helpful.

Was this feature reviewed ?  We have built in WebCam functionality in our HP E240c monitors and when using bluejeans we need a way to adjust and save the brightness, auto lighting , etc.

Any progress been made on this front?  Our video clarity/focus/brightness levels are much better when doing a Skype-to-Skype meeting than when we do a BlueJeans video call using the same equipment/cameras.

BlueJeans must be loading video driver settings differently than Skype.

Hello Luke,

I know that with certain webcams you are able to make these advanced configurations within the software provided for them.

I currently use a Logitech C920 webcam on my device and can access the control features while in a meeting. We currently do not have these types of controls built inside of the service, I will check with the agent who replied above to see how the feature request is coming along.

We appreciate you taking the time to provide this feedback!

Regards,
Lee- BlueJeans Support

Yes, I think you're correct with why Skype looks visually better.  I think it's taking into account the settings that Logitech software has set called 'RightLight' or something like that.
