Active screen sharing frame is distracting

While we understand the need to indicate the "active screen" when sharing your desktop or a portion of it, it would be helpful if the moderator had an option to change the bright neon green color to something a bit muted OR even dim / lessen it as it's a bit distracting when projected on larger screens for a room of attendees.

Hi Karen - that's a great suggestion & can see how this might be a bit bright for a room system. We went ahead and opened a feature idea ticket with our product team to review. For now we are marking this as "under consideration." #staytuned!

That's great! Happy to talk further and pull in people who made the suggestions -- they may have some creative ways on improving the "active screen" sharing option.

Karen - a great way to get feedback directly to our product team is right here! If your team could join the Blue Jeans Community and comment, we can track their ideas here. We'd love to hear their creative solutions. Thanks!

My professors really like to be able to see what they are sharing easily, if something is changed please do not take this away!

We need an option to remove the horrible green outline of the screen being shared. It is very distracting.

I think the green outline should be an option. It should not be mandatory.
If it has to be mandatory then I should be able to pick the color.
It is an issue with our office because a bright green outline affects the colors we are looking at.

To be more clear:

I think the green outline should be an option instead of mandatory.

It is an issue with our office because a bright green outline affects the colors we are looking at (we are looking at photographs).

As you can imagine, having a neon green box around every photo is a problem.
Hi All- In the future you will have the option to share independent applications over screen sharing. We are currently beta testing internally. During independent sharing, there is no green border. However, we do plan on keeping the green boarder for full desktop sharing as of today. Thanks for all of your feedback and #staytuned for updates!

If we don't have a border on applications that give full-screen presentations like Power Point, Keynote, Expression Media, Media Pro, Photo Mechanic then that would be a good way to handle it for us. Though I think having an option to turn off the border during desktop sharing would be a good idea.
(Edited)
Happy to share that with our PM team - thanks Barney!

I think I have the new version of this software and I am seeing a blue border when sharing an application. I thought you said there wouldn't be a green border ... you didn't say anything about a blue border. Is there really no way to get rid of this?

There are no borders when sharing in Hangouts or GoToMeeting. Why do we have to suffer with it on BlueJeans? How about a colored border that I can choose to not show? Or maybe have it fade away after some time?

The ability to share your entire desktop or just an app is available. The issue still persist that the bright green and blue that is automatically displayed is extremely distracting. Would like this is be an optional setting for our users who do not want to see the green or blue orders displayed around what they are sharing or somehow mute the colors. We have an extremely visual group and the "highlighting" is distracting.
