We are proud to announce the public beta of Blue Jeans for Mac!
When we released the #AWESOME Blue Jeans Outlook Add-in, we instantly received requests for the equivalent for Mac. One problem: Microsoft does not have an add-in framework for Outlook for Mac. So instead, we made a menu app for users to use either the Blue Jeans Scheduler Tool (like on the web) , Apple Mail, or Outlook for Mac (2011 or 2014).
Some technical details:
We only support OS X 10.9 and later
Please reply to this thread with problems/ issues
send feature requests and feedback to email@example.com
We will take all of your #AWESOME feedback and get this into the GA app that ships later this month.

Onward and Upward,
we have integration with SSO and it works great. Installation is really easy.
However, when user is scheduling meeting using plugin, after that he does not see it on this view Scheduled meeting. Maybe it must be somehow extra configured in settings ?
Question is also if he was invited to a videomeeting will he see also on this list of scheduled meeting in plugin ? So is there integration into two directions, from plugin to calendar and form calendar to plugin ?
Can you send us the logs? (under settings)
The list in the menu app only shows exactly what would show on https://bluejeans.com/scheduling/ for a logged in user. We would like to (one day) list all appointments by reading the default calendar, but we have not started on that nor have we researched it. Getting access to Outlook from another app is always interesting.
Thanks for the #AWESOME feedback! Keep it coming!
1/ The calendaring is really hard to use, because you can't visualize days of the week. a date picker would be ideal over the current design.
2/ Scheduling a meeting with the unit is a very difficult workflow because it requires knowing all the information. I lost two meeting details because I was missing info (email addresses) and had to focus on a different window to copy and paste or keep the information on top of the screen. I would force the unit to keep an active state or store the current state so it doesn't get lost when it loses focus.
Don't worry, we are working on a "Draft Mode" so info will not be lost. We know this is a problem and will fix it for GA.
Keep the #AWESOME feedback coming! This helps so much!
You can use the Blue Jeans Scheduler to make unique ID's that are recurring. We will add more and more functionality as the product progresses :-) This is just the beginning!
We do not have command center access via the Mac app. It is not on the feature list yet since it is such a complex tool.
Would this be something that I may be doing incorrectly, or is the update not necessarily ready.
We have some very cool news regarding the #AWESOME beta for Mac:
We have changed the name to "Blue Jeans Scheduler for Mac"
We have cool functionality and users were confused on what this app accomplished.
We will be going to GA March 2nd and you #AWESOME beta testers will HAVE TO DELETE THE OLD VERSION before using the GA version. Please inform your testers at your organizations.
#staytuned for the release notification and such.
The confusing part is that the update install won't install the updated version over the top of itself.
- install 1.0.184
- select the Blue Jeans menu bar > gear icon > Help > Check for Updates
- download the update
- quit the Blue Jeans App from the menu bar
- find the updated app at:
~/Library/Application Support/Blue Jeans for Mac/.Sparkle
- ".Sparkle" is a hidden directory.
- Move "Blue Jeans for Mac 1.0.204" into your Applications folder
In this release: (a.k.a. the feature list)
- Integration with Apple Calendar: See all Blue Jeans meetings in Calendar
- Integration with Microsoft Outlook: See all Blue Jeans meetings in Outlook Calendar (applescript must be active)
- Ability to Schedule using the Blue Jeans Scheduler: just like the web scheduler
- Edit / Cancel meetings you own
- Ability to access Blue Jeans from the menu bar
Also any update on the desktop client (heard it may contain a IM app ) as well as the Exec Assistant feature ? We really would need a independent IM client & Remote Control another persons machine to fully replace Webex (Jabber & Meeting )
